Refresh your home this spring for under $30!!

Canadian weather is crazy this time of year.  Last week it was warm and beautiful outside and this week it is snowing and absolutely freezing.  Get your shit together mother nature.

Even though it may not feel like spring outside, I am forcing my home to feel like spring on the inside.  Brighter, cleaner (I’m in the middle of spring cleaning everything) and fresher is my goal!

My home feels so much brighter, fresher and cleaner by just making a few, inexpensive changes to my decor.

Bright throw pillows! I changed my regular, dark burgundy throw pillows for this bright turquoise…aqua…(I have no idea what colour these are) and I love them.  These outdoor pillows were just $5 each at my local grocery store, but they work great for a budget friendly pop of spring without breaking the bank!

Speaking of throw pillows, my next quick tip is to add some WHITE AND YELLOW ACCESSORIES to instantly brighten your space and make it feel like spring time! I got this yellow pillow from Walmart for $3 and added some DIY felt flowers with my hot glue gun!

I replaced some of my usual dark accessories for a few white dollar store candles and added some faux greenery (also from the dollar store) throughout my home.  The entire house feels so much lighter and fresher!

Just by sprinkling around some Yellow, White and Green accessories (all from local dollar stores) I am feeling warmer already!  You don’t have to spend a lot to refresh your home this spring, all together I spent around $23 to sprinkle some spring in my home this year!
