I decided this month to not only share my kids monthly calendar, but to share some links and pictures of the crafts as well. So here we go…get ready for February Fun!
With Valentines Day just around the corner, don’t forget to ask the teacher for a full class list just to make sure no one is forgotten when your little ones fills out her valentines!
Download my February Calendar for some ideas for crafts and activities this month!
I decided to make placemats this month to help my girls learn how to properly set the table. I used fun foam shapes and letters stuck on a large fun foam mat. To seal it, I just applied two coats of Modge Podge! Izzy, my four year old, made hers completely by herself! (We only had to tell her which side the fork and spoon went on) She loved this craft. We will be making one for Mom and Dad and the daycare kids as well!
You can also make placemats from greeting cards, family photo’s and kids artwork that are placed on a large sheet of paper and then laminated at your local copy centre!
We are making love bugs this year! Both butterflies and ladybugs! These are easy to make with just some pompoms, pipe cleaners and googly eyes! Don’t forget the suckers and candy!
The two years old can easily make these pretty beaded hearts by threading the beads onto pipe cleaners all by themselves! Hang a few together to make a pretty door or window hanger!
Later this month we are making paper mache maracas. Yes, I am insane. Click here for a link to instructions.
