Let’s get organized!
We picked 30 pounds of apples last weekend. Now we just need to come up with ways to use them all!
Here are some EASY apple recipes. I am no chef…lol. Actually, I am horrible! These are quick and easy recipes that even I can’t mess up.
Apple Crisp:
4-5 apples peeled and sliced
1 cup flour
1/4 cup sweetner (or real sugar)
1/4 cup Sugar Twin Brown Sugar (or real brown sugar)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 heaping tablespoons of softened butter or margarine
Place sliced apples in baking dish and sprinkle with cinnamon
In separate bowl, mix flour, sugar and butter. Mix with fork until “crumbly”..lol.
Put crumble on top and bake at 350 for 45 minutes!
Sugar-Free Applesauce
8-10 large apples – cored, peeled, and cut into chunks
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 teaspoons cinnamon
(if you want it sweeter, add 1/2 cup sweetner or sugar)
Put apples in crock pot, pour water and lemon overtop. Sprinkle with cinnamon and cook on low for 4-6 hours (depending on apple type)
Lightly mash with potato masher and refrigerate!
