How to make a DIY Vintage Wood Sign on a Budget.
I saw this beautiful, vintage looking farmhouse style wood sign on Pinterest. It was posted by: http://www.bloominghomestead.com/2012/09/pallet-wood-sign.html
With just $22 worth of wood and leftover Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, I made this pretty wood sign in just a day. I love the distressed, shabby chic look!
Here is what you will need:
4 – 9 inch x 48 inch boards
2 thin scrap pieces of wood
Wood screws
Wood Glue
80 Grit Sandpaper
Paint in three different colours
Paint Brushes
Clear and Dark Wax (Optional)
If you want to make your own stencil, here are the font sizes I used in MS Word. The font I used was New Times Roman.
BELIEVE – 650 size font
THERE IS – 530 size font
GOOD IN – 650 size font
THE WORLD – 450 size font
