It’s hot outside. I’m tired. I’ll do it tomorrow. I suddenly have a million excuses for leaving little messes here and there (and everywhere) around my home. Don’t get me wrong, I always make excuses for things like not going to the gym or not eating healthy, but sucking it up and cleaning the house has never been an issue for me.
That is until these past few days. I just want to do NOTHING. It doesn’t take long for the counter to get full of dishes and the laundry to pile up. In just two short days my home went from clean and tidy to a huge disaster area and I have no want to clean it up….
So what do you do when you have no motivation but you know it has to get done? Well, I have no idea, but what I am going to do is start small. My plan is to set my five minute timer and see what I can get done in that time. Hopefully seeing progess is the motivation I need to continue. If not, I’ll invite someone over…that always lights a fire under my ass!
If all else fails, it may get so nasty that my husband will decide to clean it up!! Wouldn’t that be nice?
