When I told my husband I wanted to decorate for spring, he did the usual eye roll.  He sees seasonal decorating as a huge waster of time and money, but instead of kiboshing the entire thing, he challenged me to a $20 budget…total.

Now, we live in Canada, so $20.00 does not go far! Thankfully, I found some great plastic birds from The Dollar Tree and Dollarama that had the shape I was looking for!

A quick coat of paint and some dark wax to age and I’m in love with the outcome!

I added a birdcage and some dollar store greenery to my mantel and I instantly felt like spring cleaning, well not really, but my home felt lighter and fresher.

I white washed an old shelf we had in our garage and added Milo’s feet and hand print to make this adorable, and free, ‘love” sign.
